routine

So basically the weather's been really weird lately... it's still kind of like fall weather so the easiest thing to wear is my fake leather jacket and a hoodie underneath. I pretty much just keep the sweater attached to the jacket... and then on colder days, I just throw on the scarf and I'm good to go.

I also have a job now!! So I kind of don't shop anywhere else anymore, lol. This is what I wore to work on the weekend.. a few new purchases because there was a huge sale going on.
LAVENDER, BLACK MOHAIR BOXY SWEATER - WILFRED // BLACK JEANS - BDG // BOOTS - UO

A friend of mine went to New York last weekend (I also had the opportunity to go, but had to write a group paper and presentation for Economics... poo) and asked her to get me this shirt. It's like, 20-30 bucks more on eBay!

And finally, the best purchase yet: a new winter coat!!! I LOVE this coat. The length is perfect, it's made of hemp on the outside and super warm because it's down-filled. It also has a lot of quirks like drawstrings at the waist to make it more defined, and drawstrings on the bottom to make it like a bubble to block out the air. Sweeeet.

P.S. My sister's new room layout really makes a great picture-taking place, don't you think? Haha

complexgeometries s/s 2010

complexgeometries' spring summer 2010 collection was inspired by the idea of "perpetual leisure". the question asked was: "could there be a future where leisure is eternal?"

shapes are loose, evoking images of the different leisure cultures throughout history. beach pajamas, retirement communities, and clinical attire are all what make up the simple versatile shapes shown in this collection. additionally, certain styles took inspiration from a future where all people are perpetually at leisure and machines do all the work.

fabrics are comfortable -- cotton tees, linen jeans and silk jumpsuits.

this collection also provides an introduction to the "/" series of collaborations:
- complexgeometries/harakiri, a jewelry line comprised mostly of sterling silver, alone or mixed with elements of leather, quartz and onyx. made in collaboration with the artisan jewelry line Harakiri.
- complexgeometries/osei-duro, a multi-functional style designed collaboratively with Osei-Duro.
